Biography
Rep. Rebecca Burkes is serving her second term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. She represents District 11 which includes a portion of Springdale and south central section of Benton County.
For the 95th General Assembly, Rep. Burkes serves on the House Revenue and Taxation Committee and the House City, County and Local Affairs Committee.
Rep. Burkes earned her BA from the University of Texas, MSOM from the University of Arkansas, and JD from Baylor University. She has spent more than 25 years in law, operations, and real estate in the private sector. She also worked as a faculty member at the University of Wisconsin Law School and as Deputy Director and General Counsel for the Arkansas Department of Heritage.
Rep. Burkes currently lives in Springdale. She is married to Aaron Burkes, a former Arkansas State Representative and current CEO of the Northwest Arkansas National Airport. They have two adult sons and enjoy spending time outdoors and hiking on Arkansas’s spectacular trail system.
